Woops...

Ok ok... I got behind. Neglected to keep everyone informed. Because my life is soooooo interesting. Not.

To my defense, I did really struggle with sickness until nearly the end of June. Then we were busy trying to enjoy our summer and I thought since I was already behind, why bother catching up now? Then at the end of July, my dad got really sick and that was a time suck too. Then school started and I took a mini-vaca (alone!!!) to visit my bff. Finally getting my groove on for schooling and baby prep though.

So since June we found out that Thing5 is a girl. Not only is Thing2 over the moon about this but we're all glad because Thing3 had announced that if it was a boy his name would be "Argonaut" and if it was a girl, her name would be "Birdie".  So Thing5 is also known as Birdie around our house. We've bought several little items that have birds on them including this little lovey set.

 

 

Having to acquire girlie things again is super fun. Its been nearly 8 years since I've lived in newborn girl world. I only have maybe 10-12 outfits of various sizes from Thing2 that were favorites or special occasion outfits. All the rest I've passed on to friends over the years. 

 

 

There's the newest Tribe Princess around 25 weeks. I am so excited to meet her that I want Christmas time to hurry up and get here for the first time since I was about 12 years old. :)

We have started back to school and its been harder this year. Thing3 is joining us in a pre-K position and doing school with three kids instead of 2 is more complicated. However, he's doing much more work than I anticipated him doing and learning to read at quite a pace. Guess he was really ready! Well, that and the competition with the older two is always a motivating factor.

School funny for the year: Thing2 saw the term "kiss off" and asked me what it meant. I told her that it means someone ignored you on purpose in order to be mean. She says, "Oh, I thought it was if me and another girl liked the same guy..." but stopped talking when I burst into explosive laughter. No, darling daughter... kiss off is not the same thing as a dance off contest where the best person wins. Sheesh! She's not even 8 years old yet!

I am going to shoot for "One-Liner Wednesdays" since my kids have little one-liners all the time that I put on Facebook and not my blog. I'll try to keep a list and post them at one time for amusement purposes. We'll see how that goes...
