7th Heaven

The Tribe will be adding a member in December! We are all over the moon with excitement. There will be a total of 7 people in our tribe and it seems pretty heavenly to us. So far it was a rough first trimester and I am glad to be transitioning to the second one.

There's a gymnastics place near our house that has "toddler time" for kids 18mos to 3years old. I was there with Thing3 & 4 last week and was talking to some British ladies. They were absolutely shocked when they realized I had two more kids sitting on the other side of the glass observation window doing schoolwork. Then they were really bowled over when I said there was another one coming. I should have been insulted by some of the stuff they said (Do you have a special vehicle? You are bloody crazy!) but they were so chipper with their accent and honest shock that I just laughed along with them. I am going to try to hang onto that attitude as the months proceed here! Course I can't be entirely responsible for pregnant lady hormones...

On the gender front... we have twice found out and twice been clueless until delivery. Thing2 so desperately wants a sister, that I may find out so that she has time to get adjusted if she's disappointed. On the flip side, my kids are all such baby junkies that once the baby is here in squalling perfection, I know she won't care one way or the other. We have about 2 months or so until we can know anyhow. Still debating that one as a family.

The plan for now is to build a triple bunk in the boys' room and get all of them in there. Its a big room considering the overall size of our house. Its about 12X12. No problem to fit them and all the legos, blocks and Nerf guns with beds stacked up like that. Thing2's room is much smaller as it used to be a small dining room. But she is confident that she would happily have a bunk in there if she only had a sissy to share it with. Regardless of the gender, since I am way to lazy to get up for the late night feedings, the baby will be with us for nearly a year so we have time to figure out where to fit the newest one.

What do you think? Boy or girl?
